Christmas Eve 2012

Christmas Eve is a time for friends and family to get together....especially in Poland. We were delighted to spend it with our good friends, the Jarosz'.
Wegilia is a 12-course meal that is served on this special night. None of these courses contain meat....only fish. The above is a PORTION of the wonderful food that was fixed by the Jarosz family. After stuffing ourselves with great salads, veggies and many different ways to eat fish....
...it was time for Santa to appear!  He spent the time handing gifts out to everyone at the party.
But in order to claim your present, you had to sing a Christmas carol....English or Polish....your choice!
Even 'Jedi', the dog, received something from Santa!
As the night went on, everyone started getting into the spirit of singing carols. The men had their turn...(President, Wiktor-Jarosz' nephew, Brother Jarosz, Elder Peck and Slawek.)
As did the women....Sara, Sister Jarosz, Sisters Sheahan, Peck and Allen and Sister Jarosz' mother.
We love this family! They are SO good to us and help us in so many ways. What a blessing it was to spend Christmas Eve with the Jarosz'. Thank you for making our 3rd Christmas in Poland so memorable. Everything was perfect.....the food, the gifts and especially the company! Thank you for sharing your family with us!  WE LOVE YOU!
