Departing Sisters May 15, 2012

This morning we said 'good-bye' to two of our great Sisters....Sister Ellis and Sister Leppanen. They both 'sprinted' to the end of their missions....and continued to preach the gospel with enthusiasm until the day they left.
Coming into the Mission Home on their last night in Poland, they were able to 'leave a little something' that we could remember them by. Sister Leppanen left a piece of a beautiful scarf that she had bought on her very first P-day in Poland. Sister Ellis also left a piece of a favorite scarf with me.
We were glad that Sisters Sheahan and Forsey were able to join us for dinner and a good-bye testimony meeting. We have the best Sisters in the world serving in our Mission. They set the standard high, and the Elders work hard to keep up with them. (L to R): Sisters Sheahan, Ellis, Leppanen and Forsey. Even though these Sisters had served months in Warsaw, they had never visited the Wilanow Palace that is within walking distance of the Mission Home. So we took off for a quick visit around the grounds. It was stunning that day with all the clouds in the background. The Sisters were impressed and happy they got to see it. Our final picture at the airport before Sister Leppanen and Sister Ellis took off on separate flights...one going to Finland and the other to Auburn, Washington. We thank these great Sisters for their diligent service to the Lord while serving in Poland. We love you, and we will miss you. Remember Poland in your prayers!
