Baptisms in Poland...and more!

This has been a busy week, so let me get you caught up on some things. One week ago on May 5, the Missionaries (Elders Lundin and Kalinowski) and Branch in Szczecin held a great baptism. Olek was baptized and is the newest member of that growing Branch. Welcome!
On Saturday May 12, Pawel was baptized by Travis in Lublin. Elders Kennedy and Mikolyski did a great job teaching this man about the gospel.

The Lublin Branch came out strong to support the newest member of their Branch. It was a beautiful day at the Lake...not only for a baptism...

...but for a Branch Grill as well! Here Brother Gladun is working his 'magic' on the BBQ while Sebastian, Mikolaj and Mariusz stand by to cheer him on! Great job, brethren....the meat was fabulous!

Taking a minute to visit with some of the Relief Society Sisters in the Branch...Basia, Beata and Marlyna. These great sisters are wonderful. Someday (in heaven!) we're going to have a LONG conversation as we will be able to understand each other better!

The Mecham family with our daughter-in-law Emily. (You'll see more of her in a later post!) We are so grateful for President Mecham and his wife, Becky. They have added SO much to the Branch. We love them and appreciate them for all they do!

The Johnson family with their son, Maddax...who enjoys playing with 'the guys' in the Branch. I'm not sure who was having more fun.....Maddax, Mikolaj or Sebastian!

Cody and Jasmine...Jasmine had made her world-famous 'apple pie' for the grill. Cole making sure he got a piece!

Our oldest son, Darik, with Pawel. This was truly a great day. Not only for the Church in Poland and for the Lublin branch..but for our family. To have some of them in Poland and to be with us on this special occasion. It was fun and a real blessing to witness this 'Real Growth' event. Pawel will be a strength to the Church and we are grateful for his testimony and desire to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized. He will accomplish much in the Church and throughout his life.
