Our New Missionaries arrive in Poland!

Our Polish Missionaries who have spent the last several weeks in the MTC are finally arriving today in Warsaw. We are excited to meet them personally....
It was a cold snowy day when President and his Assistants showed up at the airport to greet these new missionaries. Yes...today President Nielson travels with 3 Assistants...Elder Tiner (new!), Elder Jensen (who will be leaving for home at the end of the week) and Elder Mikolyski (taking the roll of 1st Assistant to the President).
What has become a tradition...On an Assistant's last trip to the airport, each Assistant receives a Kinder-Egg as a 'send-off' gift from Sister Nielson. (It was actually designed to keep them busy as we usually have to wait and wait and wait for the missionaries to come through the gate with their luggage....the toys inside these chocolate eggs can be quite entertaining!)
It's now time to meet our new Missionaries who have just arrived......
Elder Gibby from Washington, Utah...
Elder Meherg from Greenville, Wisconsin...
Elder White from Auburn, Washington (same ward as Sister Ellis and he knows President Larkin very well)...
Elder Caskey from Glendale, Arizona (good friends with Elder Godwin)...
Elder Boyce from Logan, Utah...
Sister Swenson from Taylorsville, Utah and ...
Sister Lenhart from Rexburg, Idaho.
With construction still ongoing at the airport, we have a long walk to our parked cars.  People stop and look at these well-dressed young people walking together.  It's a great day when we receive more missionaries in Poland.
Up the last little stretch to the cars.  It started snowing yesterday and is supposed to be on and off for the next few days.  Mission life is Poland is absolutely great.
All the luggage is loaded up and now it's off to get Residence Card photos and lunch.  Elders Gibby, Meherg, Boyce, Sisters Lenhart, Swenson, Elders Caskey and Boyce.  This group has energy, and they are ready to Preach the Gospel.
While we wait for their photos to be developed, we visited the Food Court at the Best Mall.  Elders Gibby, Boyce, Boyce and Caskey.
It was a welcomed meal as it was a long day (and night) of traveling.  Elders Tiner, Meherg, Sisters Lenhart and Swenson.
The Assistants walked with our new missionaries over to the Palace in Wilanow, and they contacted on the way.  It was cold and snowy, but these missionaries wanted to talk to everyone about the Restored Gospel.
President started interviews (as we have transfers in a couple of days) the Assistants helped in the kitchen.  They always do such a great job in helping with everything.  (Elder Mikolyski has developed into the master salad chef and Elder Tiner is becoming quite the baker!)
After interviews and just before they were all about to doze off, we had dinner and learned about the MTC experiences and life for the past 9 weeks.  It was a wonderful day and evening.  By 8:00 pm, the mission home was very quiet. Good thing....we have a very busy day tomorrow!  Trainers meet trainees! Everyone is excited!
