Elder Wilkosz Leaves for the England London South Mission

Tuesday night, Karol came into the Mission Home to leave on his mission the next morning. He was accompanied by Elders Basha & Myler (Assistants), Tanner & Gudnason (who both served in Kielce where Karol is from), Elders Fletcher and Curtis. This photo was taken right after Karol was set apart to be a full time missionary. Elder Wilkosz has spent the last week on a mini-mission serving with the Warsaw Zone Leaders. It was a week full of 'miracles' for this companionship! The amazing thing is that Elder Curtis (on the left) along with Elder Klosowiak (now serving in Gdansk) were the Elders in Kielce that first taught Elder Wikosz just 14 months ago. We celebrated his 'farewell' with an old fashioned American grill which included... ...Karol making his first banana split with Elder Myler doing a little 'coaching'! Elder Wilkosz is such a big part of our mission that he had to leave 'a piece of himself'' for all to see when they come into the mission home. Those that attended the 'ceremony' enjoyed a wonderful evening. This young man is ready to serve...he has a very strong testimony, a love of the gospel, and a love for his country, Poland. He will represent his Savior, his family, the Mission and his country very well. At the airport the next morning. Elder Wilkosz is all ready to go. He was asking lots of questions about the airport and what he should do. We found out he had never been on a plane before. This was going to be a great new adventure for this fine Elder. We love this young man. Again, it's like sending another 'son' out into the mission field. Elder Wilkosz will serve with all his heart, mind, might and strength....because that's the only way he knows how to serve. He will be missed by not only the Kielce Branch but by the mission as well!
Good-bye for now, Elder Wilkosz. He wasn't sure about this going through security stuff...
An added bonus!!!! The Preston Mission Training Center just sent over this picture of the new arrivals. Elder Wilkosz is in great hands...has received his books and is ready to work! We love you, Elder Wilkosz...you are in our prayers!

  1. Hi Stan and Judi-
Tell Elder Wilkosz that Elder Chase Leavitt from the Palmyra Ward also entered the Preston MTC on June 6th. I'm surprised he wasn't in the picture of the new arrivals. He will also be serving in the London England Mission!! Small world!! Blake and Jordan enter the MTC in Provo on June 13th - this next Wednesday!!
    Love you,
    Melinda
