Lublin...followed by the YSA's. Sunday, April 21, 2013

Sunday was Branch Conference in Lublin.  It was a gorgeous day as we went to Lublin for the last time.  :(
We had passed this church in the distance many times, and this morning we decided to take a closer look.
The traffic was light this morning.  In a few years, they will have more of their highway system completed, and it will be a much quicker trip.  In a way, it will be sad. This road is such a beautiful drive.
Another one of the many churches you see out in the countryside.   This one sits all alone atop this green hill.
As we arrived in Lublin, we saw this friendly man headed towards the Centrum. I'm not sure what he was going to be selling, but we had to wait for him to cross the road.
As we approached the Lublin chapel, Elders Finch and Peacock were out to greet all who attended Church.  They were a welcomed sight.
President Dresler (Warsaw District President) was helping the Elders with some computer issues.  Since it was Branch Conference, some of the District leaders were in attendance.
President Armstrong and his family were in Lublin today.  What a great family they are.  They are members of Warsaw II Branch but came to Lublin to be with their father who is a member of the District Presidency.
Sister Rzeczycka and Sister Pickett from the District Relief Society Presidency.  Committed Relief Society sisters who love the women in the District. They are always there to help the Relief Societies run as they should.
Sebastian (and his shadow...). A great young man in the Lublin Branch.
Some of the wonderful members of the Lublin Branch Relief Society.
The Johnson's...AND they are expecting another baby soon.  We are grateful for all they do in the Branch as Brother Johnson is busy in Medical School.
Elders Finch and Peacock had their investigator with them after Church and Brother Gladun was helping them.
The Lublin Branch has a new Branch President.  President Gladun was sustained and set apart today.  Our former 'Elder' Gladun will surely be a great help to his home Branch.  We are proud of President Gladun and all that he is becoming and doing for the Church in Poland.  President Dresler set him apart following sacrament meeting.
After Church, we needed to rush back to Warsaw for a YSA fireside.  President Gladun was able to come with us.
We had a very enjoyable fireside with Banana Splits for dessert.  Kamil, Agnieszska, Stefan, Sister and Elder Jensen, President Gladun and special visitors-  Andrew (the former Elder Kalinowski) and Amanda.
Two former companions in Lodz: Both finding what they had left in the mission home for others to remember them.  We love these two great Elders.  They served well, and they will forever be in our hearts.  We truly love all our missionaries-  former, current and the ones coming to us.  There is no place like the mission field and there is no calling as rewarding as mission president (and his wife).  I love this Church, the members, the soon to be members and my missionaries!
