Since the Bennetts got to bed quite late Sunday night, Monday morning we let everyone sleep in....especially Riley...so everyone would be 'fresh' to start the trip. This was Devin and Scott's second visit to Poland, so we decided that we would take them to Krakow for a day or two. As we were racing down to Krakow in order to see a few things before the sun went down, we had a delay...
...but we don't want to talk about it!
We did make it to Krakow...checked into our hotel...and went directly to the beautiful St. Mary's Basilica.
The stained glass windows and blue-starred ceiling are breathtaking. It was magnificent and a 'do not miss' on anyone's tour through Krakow! We didn't stay long, however, because Riley was hungry!
Hard Rock Cafe's burgers, salads and shakes hit the spot! As we were eating our dinner, Riley spotted a white carriage drawn by horses below in the square.
Grandpa could not resist her request. Luckily, we were able to find the exact carriage that Riley had spotted. We all got in and had a wonderful tour around the city.
Riley felt like a princess and enjoyed every minute of it.
Devin and Scott had a great time, too!
As we circled around the Rynek to head out into the side streets, we ran into some familiar faces!
Elder Davis and Elder Bode, two of our Elders serving in Krakow were out contacting!
The carriage ride took us by many of Krakow's sights.....Wawel Castle being one of them. This was on our schedule to visit tomorrow, and Riley is excited to see how 'real' princesses lived.
The ride was over much too soon....we could have stayed in the carriage for hours. It was so relaxing. I highly recommend this way of seeing Krakow.
As we were getting off the carriage, Elders Hancock and Hinckley ---2 other Elders serving in Krakow had found President Nielson. Riley was happy to meet them......
...but couldn't keep her eyes off her 'Cinderella Carriage' as it rode away. The ride was truly the highlight of her day!!! As we were making our way back to our hotel, we took one more picture in front of St. Mary's Basilica.
But as you can see....'someone' was done for the night! It was a good day!

What a great day! Hard Rock Cafe and good old American food is always a relief in Europe. We love European food, but sometimes a hamburger is just the right thing.
