Our new Missionaries arrive in Warsaw!!!

It's transfer week, and that means we finally get to meet our new missionaries who have been at the Mission Training Center (MTC) in Provo, Utah, preparing to serve in Poland. The Assistants, President and I are at the airport in plenty of time. As usual, the plane arrives late, and we have missionaries who have lost luggage. This is truly becoming the 'norm'.
Here is the newest group of Poland Warsaw Missionaries. They are excited to be in Poland and are ready to work! We are, likewise, thrilled to have them here. Let me introduce you to them one at a time...
First, is Sister McAdams from Draper, Utah. She is followed by...
...Elder Fletcher from Anchorage, Alaska.
Sister Mann is from So. Jordan, Utah.
Our last sister, Sister Garcia is from Parker, Colorado.
We also received another German Elder from the town of Bremerhaven...Elder Bode.
Elder Basha is from Chandler, Arizona...
...and he is followed by Elder Hooker from Cedar Hills, Utah.
Elder Myler is from Roy, Utah. That makes a total of 8 new Missionaries...5 Elders and 3 Sisters. After making arrangements for the lost luggage to be delivered to the Mission Office, we head for the parking lot....
...load everyone into cars where our first stop is the Kodak store in the Best Mall to get pictures for Residence cards for our missionaries.
Everyone waits in line for their turn.....
...and still manages to smile for the camera even after a very long plane ride!
Waiting for the pictures to be developed, everyone is fed at the Food Court...which is a real treat after airplane food! Salads and Subway sandwiches seem to be the popular choices. Once we pick up the pictures, we drive to the mission home to unload.
This is one energetic group...the Assistants took them on a walk to the Willanow Palace which is located close to the Mission Home. On the way to and from the Palace, a little 'contacting' was done, and Elder Bode placed a Book of Mormon! The rest of the night consisted of interviews, dinner, a 'welcome' by President Nielson and dessert.
Later in the evening, the missing luggage was delivered to the Mission Home by the Office Elders, Taylor and Darowski. (I think this was a record.....lost luggage recovered and delivered in the same day! The Warsaw Airport is getting better!) Everyone is fast asleep as I am writing this. It was a very long day for our new Missionaries...and me ,too.
