The First Warsaw (Mission Office) Mini Grand Prix Finally Happens!

If you remember, back in January the Elders and Assistants challenged Elder Richards and President Nielson in a go-cart competition, and the track was closed. Well, the day finally arrived so.....we were off to the Races!
Here are the competitors...Elders Darowski, Taylor, Richards, President Nielson, Andrzej Wencel (chosen to be the #1 seed), Elder Tribe, Dominik (who was the best sport of the day), and Elder Garrett.
The old men are ready and the younger team is talking some smack...Let's get started......
First, you've got to know the rules. Lucky for President and Elder Richards, they had translators! All they learned was Yellow was caution, Blue was move over so the car behind you could pass and the Checked flag means you won. Some pretty big claims were being made just about now... so let's start.
This was an incredible facility.....the starting gate.
A portion of the track. The track was about 3/4 mile long and each car had a "chip" in it for electonic timing purposes.
Racers are ready!
Hoping to at least finish the race.....President Nielson planning his strategy.
AND THEY'RE OFF!!!!!!! Now, many pictures were taken of the race, but due to poor quality of light and the speed of the cars.....especially from Team AA (Advanced Age)...and the skill of the photographer, none of the pictures of the actual race turned out:( I'm sure my camera had the capabilities, I just didn't have the skill in the settings! (Pictured: Elder Taylor)
After the race, everyone quickly checked their scores. Notice the two racers on the right. One has just found out that he has come in first and the other.....Well, he has a hard time getting beat, especially when it comes to driving! He does have a reputation to up hold!
Here you have it....the winners of the first Quarterly Mission Office Warsaw Mini Grand Prix! Team "Man Up" (The Assistants- Elders Tribe and Garrett) took the Team honors with 1st and 3rd finishes, while team "Advanced Age" placed with Andrzej Wencel in 2nd and team "Office Elders" placed with Elder Taylor in 4th (who beat President Nielson by .05 seconds). Oh, I'm supposed to remember to put in the blog that Andrzej Wencel only lost by a 30th of a second.

He has also challenged Elder Tribe to a rematch next P-Day.
A little 'Humble Pie' was served today. Elder Tribe had the medal to the metal today.
But in this church everyone is a winner.....A great time was had by all!!!! After the race, we all loaded in the cars and headed to DeGrasso's Pizza for a victory lunch.
There, awards were given out and speeches were made. Medals were handed out to the "finishers" and Elder Tribe took home the "mini" trophy but the Warsaw Mini Grand Prix Cup will stay in the Mission Office with his name proudly engraved on it.
Team "Advanced Age" (which could be now called "Team of Many Excuses") were happy.....they all 'medaled' today! Thanks to Brother Wencel for carrying the team. They did place 3rd in the team competition... and proudly gave themselves the "Sportsmanship" award....
