Our first night in Poland we attended a Welcome Fireside at the Warsaw chapel. Here we are with the Poland Warsaw Mission Presidency: 2nd Counselor: President and Sister Rzeczycki; 1st Counselor: President and Sister Hapgood; President and Sister Engbjerg-outgoing Mission President; Us; Executive Secretary: Brother and Sister Andrezej Wencel.
Finally arriving in Warsaw after a 20 1/2 hour flight, 2 1/2 hours late, one lost bag, no cell phone, no money, no language, and ending up on the wrong end of a large terminal (to report the lost bag), we were met by these smiling faces..... our Assistants: Elder Balija and Elder Mehner and President and Sister Engbjerg. We were glad that they were still there!
President and Sister Torben Engbjerg as we attended a welcome fireside five hours after we arrived. Some 150+ members and nonmembers were in attendance. We both spoke a little Polish. It was a great night. Tomorrow we start
day 1 of our mission.
