As with our young missionaries, we ask for 'a piece' of our Senior Missionaries, too, as they leave the mission field. First, Sister Peck....
...the Elder Peck. The Pecks have not only 'manned' the Mission Office, but have done a wonderful job organizing our Single Adult Program....including Family Home Evenings and Adult Institute classes and teaching our Advanced English Class in the Wolska Chapel. They will truly be missed in the Warsaw I Branch.
Then it was the Jensen's turn. First Sister Jensen's....
...then Elder Jensen's. The Jensen's started their mission in Wroclaw where they helped the church grow there then were transferred to Warsaw to be in charge of the YSA Center there. Here they won the hearts of each of our YSA's and have helped solidify testimonies that will have an eternal effect on these young lives. Elder Jensen has also been an invaluable help in the Mission Presidency as the Executive Secretary. (AND they have come to MY rescue many times as I have needed them!)
The Pecks and the Jensens....Senior couples don't get any better than this! They will do anything to build the kingdom of the church here in Poland!
The next morning, we were up very early to catch an international flight home. As we entered the airport....
...guess who met us at the door!? Brother Jarosz did not come unattended....
...Several of our members were there to say one last good-bye to these great couples!
The Pecks and the Jensens will be ETERNAL friends. There is something to working out in the mission field, side-by-side, that bonds people together. We have great memories and a common deep love for Poland and especially the Polish people. Do you want to bless your families and enrich your own life? Come serve the Lord! Nothing can compare with the fulfillment it brings. I LOVE THIS CHURCH! (and all my missionaries- young and older)
