The bridges here are beautiful at night. In the background you can see the new soccer stadium that is being built for the 2012 Euro Cup.
Another beautiful bridge with the stadium in the background.
The icon of Warsaw...the Cultural Center...the building that Stalin built in the 1950's as a gift to the city. He had asked the people if they wanted him to finish their subway system or build them a Cultural Center. The people wanted their subway finished.....so he built a building....a very tall building that can be seen all over town.
The Zloty Terrace Mall....the 'bubble mall' that is next to the main train station in Warsaw. Very modern and very beautiful.
A favorite picture of the Rynek from the viewing tower.
And we finally visited Nowy Swiat 38. The property owned by the church in Poland. It is very small but is still used frequently by missionaries teaching investigators. You cannot beat the location....downtown Warsaw....very accessible.
After returning home from Berlin, we took Dane to the Airport to say good-bye. Little did we know, it wasn't 'good-bye' after all........
After returning home from Berlin, we took Dane to the Airport to say good-bye. Little did we know, it wasn't 'good-bye' after all........
After getting his boarding pass and saying our 'good-byes' he went through security, and we went home. A while later, we get a phone call from Dane. As he was boarding the plane, he was told that he did not have a valid ticket...he was not getting on the plane. They took his bags off the plane put them where they were most comfortable....'Lost Luggage' of course! (Remember, that's where they were the first few days after Dane arrived!) And he had enough Polish money on him to call us from a pay phone. I quickly hopped in the car to go get him (in bad traffic!) and when I finally arrived, I found this.....
