Inside the Museum. This is a giant wall that continually sends out a heartbeat symbolizing those who fought for freedom. It sets the over-all tone of the museum. This museum is a 'must see' if you ever find yourself in Warsaw
We also found a remnant of the original wall the Germans built making up the Jewish Ghetto. It was within walking distance of the Uprising Museum so we ventured out to find it. A small but very moving monument to the history of these great people.
On Christmas Eve day, we walked over to Saski Park and found that there were only a handful of people walking around. The park was empty!
There we showed Dane where President Monson and Elder Nelson re-dedicated the land of Poland June 1, 1986 for the preaching of the gospel.
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. All that was left of a Palace after the Germans destroyed Warsaw were these columns. From them, they built this monument to the Unknown Soldiers who have died in the many wars the Poles have fought. Guards stand watch at this solemn place 24/7. It has been great having Dane here with us to show him a country and introduce him to a people we love.
